Sweet Potato Fries

Sweet Potato Fries

This recipe is extremely simple to follow and involves few ingredients making it perfect for dinner with the whole family!

Things You Will Need

-One Big or Two small sweet potatoes

-1 Tbsp. of Olive Oil

-1/4 Tsp. salt

-1/4 Tsp. Black Pepper

-1/4 Tsp. of Paprika

-1/4 Tsp. Garlic Powder

Step One

First wash the sweet potato(es) thoroughly.  Preheat your oven to 400 degrees C.

Step Two

And something I learned when making these the first time is to throw the potato in the oven for a few minutes to let it soften up first.

Then but into fry like shapes.  I did this by first cutting the potato into quarters then going from there.

Step Three

Once they are all cut up place them on a backing sheet and drizzle the olive oil and sprinkle

the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

Step Four

Place in the oven for about 45 minutes or until crispy and enjoy!

    • What I do if I want them crispy is to flip them a few times while they are in the oven. Thanks for reading!

  • I make these too… But just with paprika, not pepper or garlic so I will definitely try adding those next time I make them! So easy to make, healthy and they go with so many foods! #KCACOLS

    • Thanks Jade! really the hardest part is just cutting the sweet potato. They are also great cubing the sweet potato and roasting.

  • Arthur is a huge sweet potato fan! I used to make these for him, but these days I just bake the potatoes whole (with skin) in a high temp oven until soft then I switch the oven off and leave them in there until it cools down…it makes them caramelise a little and go extra sweet which he really likes and means that he eats it (it is very soft) without any added salt or flavourings #KCACOLS

    • Sarah thanks for the tip. I haven’t actually tried to make them whole before. I mostly tried them in fry form because I thought it would be more likely mine would try them.
